DONATE TO MYO AND BECOME AN MYO SONGBIRD.

By becoming an MYO Songbird you are helping Victoria’s young musicians to reach all-new heights.

Australia’s melodious songbirds are recognised as the most remarkable in the world, inspiring many prominent classical and contemporary composers. The MYO Songbirds Program represents the energy, vibrancy and enthusiasm of our participants and of our program as we continue to bring Victoria’s young musicians together to be inspired, and explore their love of music.

For the first time in over 50 years, MYO has no government funding to support students facing disadvantage.

In 2024, 100% of MYO’s government funding was earmarked to assist students who often face barriers to participation. Students from families experiencing financial challenges. Students with disability. Students from regional areas. Students from government schools with inadequate music programs.

That’s why in 2024 your donation will go towards helping MYO provide support and programs for these students.

Please, donate now, or you could also give shares instead of cash.

Donating your shares through ShareGift Australia means you don’t have to engage a stockbroker, there are no brokerage fees, and if the proceeds of your share sale exceed $500, you can nominate Melbourne Youth Music, Inc. (Trading as Melbourne Youth Orchestras) to benefit from ShareGift Australia’s funding.  Thank you for your generosity.
