Have you heard the news? Melbourne Youth Orchestras’ holiday program is now available in Winter!
From July 9-13 2024, young musicians from across Victoria will come together at MYO’s Winter School to work with the state’s best conductors and discover a stimulating range of musical and social activities in a fun and collaborative atmosphere.
Daily rehearsals for three ensembles including symphonic bands will cater for all levels and interest. The week concludes with an exciting concert series for families and friends to celebrate the work of our talented young musicians.
You will be amazed how far you will come as an ensemble over the course of four days, immersed in the energising atmosphere of the MYO Winter School.
Working with leading educators and conductors, this will be an opportunity to focus on music written specifically for symphonic band, develop critical ensemble skills, teamwork, communication and creativity, and improve sight-reading through a series of rehearsals and workshops.
With only 150 spots available for this program, apply early to avoid missing out!
NOTE: The MYO Winter School *Bands Edition* is for wind, brass and percussion musicians only, there will be no string ensembles, orchestras or jazz ensembles.
