Melbourne Youth Jazz Orchestras are coming back to the MYO Ensemble Program in 2023. In Melbourne Youth Jazz Orchestras you’ll join stellar young players, work with highly respected directors and guests, and delve into the world of jazz orchestra repertoire.
MELBOURNE YOUTH JAZZ ORCHESTRA 1
Approximate standard: AMEB Grade 8+ or equivalent
Approximate age range: 14 – 25
Rehearsals: Saturday 3-5pm
Instruments: trumpet, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, trombone, bass trombone, trumpet, drums, guitar, piano, percussion, upright and electric bass
MELBOURNE YOUTH JAZZ ORCHESTRA 2
Approximate standard: AMEB Grade 8+ or equivalent
Approximate age range: 12+
Rehearsals: Saturday 12.30-2.30pm
Instruments: trumpet, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, trombone, bass trombone, trumpet, drums, guitar, piano, percussion, upright and electric bass
