The Newsboys Foundation was established as a Melbourne-based club for newsboys from 1893 until 1973, and then as a Foundation supporting community organisations working with disadvantaged young people in Victoria. Thanks to the support of the Newsboys Foundation, these scholarships provide fee assistance for students aged 11 to 21 years of age who are from families experiencing financial hardship and may not otherwise be able to participate in the Melbourne Youth Orchestras program.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Full or partial fee assistance is available for young people from families experiencing financial hardship and may not otherwise be able to participate in the program.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Newsboys Foundation Membership Support is available to all instruments and levels. Students must be fully enrolled in the 2024 Ensemble Program. Financial assistance will be awarded to students from families experiencing financial hardship, or for travel support for regional participants.
