MYO’s newest ensemble, the Melbourne Youth Sinfonia, is a fantastic opportunity for passionate intermediate level musicians to expand their ensemble experience and instrumental skills as part of a full-sized Symphony Orchestra. In the Melbourne Youth Sinfonia, you’ll join young musicians from across Melbourne and Victoria who come together each week, united by a love of music with other first time or experienced orchestral players.

MELBOURNE YOUTH SINFONIA

Approximate standard: AMEB Grade 5-7 or equivalent
Approximate age range: 12-17
Rehearsals: Sunday 9:30am – 12:30pm
Instruments: Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, french horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, timpani, violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp*, piano*
