Join this ensemble to make friends and experience the joy of playing in a concert band together
This new band provides an ensemble opportunity for beginner-level wind, brass and percussion players in a nurturing, creative environment. Melbourne Youth Concert Band fosters a love of music and ensemble playing in its members through performing with peers while improving instrumental technique.
Rehearsing on Saturday mornings, this ensemble consists of primary and young secondary wind, brass and percussion players. If you’ve been playing for around one year and are looking for a great ensemble playing experience, this is the band for you.
In 2021, the band name was changed from Junior Concert Band to Melbourne Youth Concert Band to acknowledge the advancing skill level of the ensemble.
Join Melbourne Youth Concert Band to:
– Share a first ensemble experience and combine the creative, social and fun aspects of music-making;
