A Flugel isn’t a Bugle (Give it a Google!)
It may look a little like a trumpet or a bugle at first glance, but the flugelhorn brings a rich, mellow tone to the brass section that simply can’t be replicated. It’s an indispensable part of orchestral and big band repertoire, and right now, our ensemble is missing one.
Why We Need Your Help
At Melbourne Youth Orchestras, we strive to give our young musicians access to top-tier, performance-standard instruments so they can perform at their best. We’ve been stretching every dollar and keeping our budgets lean, but high-quality brass instruments don’t come cheap.
It won’t take a googol to buy us a flugel, but without your support this Giving Day, our young brass players will stru-ggle.
