Experience a historic moment for the Melbourne Youth Orchestra as they embark on their first-ever regional Victorian performance under the baton of the dynamic and inspiring Guest Conductor, Carlo Antonioli.

In a program brimming with the fiery energy of Romantic and 20th-century music traditions, the orchestra will showcase works by giants of the genre. From the dramatic melodies of Prokofiev to the romantic lyricism of Rachmaninoff, to the rich, vibrant soundscapes of Dvorak – hear this sumptuous music come alive, played by a symphonic orchestra of epic proportions.

Australian composer Jessica Wells’ work, ‘Uplift’ – a colour-filled and eclectic fanfare, will continue showcasing the orchestra in all its glory and weave together the dynamic and passionate elements of the program. The Orchestra will also be joined by talented young pianist, Ronan Apcar, for Rachmaninoff’s virtuosic and stirring ‘Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini’.
