The intermediate band at Winter School will provide musicians with the opportunity to focus on music written specifically for intermediate symphonic band.
To be considered for this band, musicians will have at least some prior experience in an ensemble context, with an emphasis on competency in sight-reading for musicians to feel comfortable.
Rehearsals in this ensemble will help these musicians further develop critical ensemble skills, teamwork, communication and creativity, and improve sight-reading through a series of rehearsals and workshops.
Thanks to the support of Melbourne’s best band tutors and music educators, participants will sit alongside musicians of a similar standard, develop rhythmic and technical skills together and be motivated by the shared goal of the final Winter School performance at Iwaki Auditorium.
