Virtuosity is a concerto soloist competition offering young musicians mentorship, professional development and performance experience.

As the premiere concerto competition for Victoria’s best and brightest emerging musicians, Virtuosity offers future soloists invaluable performance opportunities, professional development experience, mentorship and career support in addition to cash prizes and the presentation of the coveted Virtuosity Perpetual Trophy.

Virtuosity is the ideal springboard into professional concerto performance, participation in competitions and the development of advanced musicianship skills – both on and off stage.

Applications for 2018 are now closed.

Filming Virtuosity
We will be filming and live streaming Virtuosity in order to share the exciting journey of our participants through the competition with our community and record an important part of Melbourne Youth Orchestras’ history.
