Absence Policy
Regular attendance is an important part of participating in the MYO Ensemble Program. Please review the following requirements before submitting an absence notification.

The maximum number of absences permitted is 2 per Term, with no more than 3 absences per Concert Program.

For Flagship participants, absences are restricted to a maximum of 2 per Program and must be advised in advance.

The final 2 rehearsals before a concert are compulsory. Participants who miss these rehearsals may be asked to sit out of the performance unless specific approval has been provided by the MYO office.
Late Arrivals & Early Departures
Participants are expected to be in their seats and ready to play before the scheduled rehearsal start time.

Arriving after the rehearsal start time will be considered a Late Arrival.

Two late arrivals within a Program will be recorded as one absence.

MYO must also be notified when a participant needs to leave a rehearsal early. The same attendance conditions apply to late arrivals and early departures as regular absences.

Participants with regular late arrivals, early departures or absences may be asked to leave the ensemble. Any such decision will be made in consultation with the participant's conductor, the Programs Manager and CEO.
Sick or running late on the day?
If a participant is running late, becomes sick on the day, or has an emergency, please notify MYO by calling or texting the MYO Mobile on 0417 124 486.
If a participant is absent from rehearsal without notice, MYO will contact their parent or guardian.
