We are looking for a dynamic and capable Operations Coordinator to join the team at Melbourne Youth Orchestras (MYO).
MYO is a leading provider of ensemble music education outside of schools. We run orchestras and bands for young musicians aged 8 to 25 years old, from the Melbourne Youth Junior Strings, to the esteemed flagship, Melbourne Youth Orchestra.
As Operations Coordinator, you will support the delivery of MYO’s annual schedule of activities, by assisting with the effective and efficient delivery of rehearsals, events and tours, particularly regarding venue, technical production, library and logistical requirements.
You’ll work closely with MYO’s Operations Manager, conductors, program staff and the entire MYO team to help ensure programs are presented to the highest standards. This includes the set-up and pack-down of rehearsal and concert venues, supervision of bump-ins and bump-outs, assistance with library duties, and administrative support.
It’s an exciting time to be joining MYO as we celebrate our 50th birthday year with a sensational program planned throughout 2017.
The successful candidate for this role will be a great communicator who is self-motivated and organised, with a broad knowledge and love of orchestral music, and a willingness to pitch in and ensure that MYO’s rehearsals and events are successful.
