Melbourne Youth Orchestras offers educational programs for over 1200 young musicians annually.  We are a community focused, not-for-profit organisation and our workplace offers a comfortable and social working environment surrounded by like-minded people whose focus is delivering the best for the young musicians we support.

FINANCE MANAGER

  • 12 month contract to April 2018 (parental leave cover)

Melbourne Youth Orchestras (MYO) is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Finance Manager for a 12-month parental leave cover contract commencing in April 2017 (start date subject to negotiation).

The successful candidate will have exceptional knowledge and skills in developing and monitoring organisational and project budgets, preparation of financial reports, experience using financial accounting software (MYOB), knowledge of current legislation, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience working in a not-for-profit arts organisation or charity, and an interest in music and the arts, will be highly regarded.

INSTRUMENTAL TUTORS
Melbourne Youth Orchestras is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified instrumental teachers who would like to join our education team.

Your participation as an instrumental tutor will not only see you unleash the creativity of more than 1200 students who participate in our programs but also give you access to the collegial environment at Melbourne Youth Orchestras where you can network, share ideas, support your colleagues and foster closer working relationships within the music community.

We welcome expressions of interest from tutors of all instruments and at all levels.

Please email myo@myo.org.au with your instrument/s, contact details, a brief covering letter and Curriculum Vitae.  You may like to include your preference for ensemble type or student level to assist us with matching you to the right ensemble.

Please note that a valid Working With Children check or VIT registration is a prerequisite.
