Our Teacher Professional Development Program is designed to support growth and improvement in the professional knowledge and practice of ensemble music education for Victorian teachers of music.
Entry to Melbourne Youth Orchestras’ Teacher Professional Development Courses is by application. Once submitted, notification of placement will be provided within one week.
20 places are available for each course. Additional applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
Upon acceptance to the course, participants will receive a confirmation email and invoice for full course fees. Fees are due two weeks prior to the commencement of the selected course.
Refunds will not be available to any participant who withdraws part way through the program. Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and will be at the sole discretion of Melbourne Youth Orchestras.
Course content will be made available through our online learning management system. Two weeks prior to the commencement of your course, participants will be emailed a personal account and login details.

Participants will meet face-to-face with the course educator and fellow colleagues. This session will include an open rehearsal, Q&A debrief and an insight into Melbourne Youth Orchestras’ renowned Ensemble Program. Lunch will be provided.
